When I went to Chicago we decided to visit this museum. There was a pirate exhibit and it was one of my favorite museums! Don't miss it if you end up in Chicago!

A hidden gem in South Minneapolis, this Russian Art Museum is just a few blocks from my house right on Diamond Lake Road and 35W. The art is fantastic, and they bring in new collections of art quite frequently, it seems. I really enjoyed it.

Griffin Muckley uses Walker Art Institute
The exhibits here are mind-blowing and exquisite. The multiple galleries often show collections of conceptual art but also occasionally showcase artists such as Frida Khalo. I dig it.

I am a member of the Science Museum, and really enjoy going there. There is always interesting exhibits to see and the Omnitheater shows are always great. One great thing about being a member is that you can get into museums across the country for free as well. I recently was in Chicago and used the membership card to go to the Field Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry, and the Adler Planetarium.

I have been going to the Science Museum for nearly my whole life. It is a great museum and lots of fun. There are many hands-on activities as well as classics like the dinosaur bones. The omni-theater shows are amazing. A must if you go. We were members this past year so we went many times to do some exhibits and watch a show. You get both for free every time you visit if you are members, and discounts to the traveling shows (like Star Wars or Body World). With a membership you feel less obligated to spend all day there and can go just for a few hours at a time. And when we went to Chicago, we got into the Field Museum, the Planetarium, and the Museum of Science and Technology for free! That alone paid for the membership. I loved it as a kid, and I still love it as an adult!
